Building a Unicycle

Filed under: Neat Stuff, Projects — Ruzter @ 4:30 am

Today Jack and I decided to build a unicycle.

Step 1: Get a good little helper

Step 2: Select a bike of dubious value

Step 3: Cut off the end of the front forks

Step 4: Find some scrap pipe from the garage, drill mounting holes and attach a small bike wheel

Step 5: Attach pipes to cut off forks

WAIT A MINUTE! That’s a funny looking unicycle!

Ok, once I saw the 2 matching bent pipes, destiny intervened. One of my unfulfilled childhood dreams was to  have a chopper bike.

Step 6: re-assemble the parts previously removed from the bike and a little paint for the forks.

Step 7: No brakes or shifter yet, but a childhood dream realized!

Now all I need is a banana seat and a sissy bar! (and maybe brakes…and maybe a German army helmet!)
