New (to us) Boat

Filed under: Neat Stuff — Ruzter @ 12:32 am

Yesterday we bought a fishing boat.

P1140123

It is a 12 foot Harbourcraft with a Johnson 9.9 hp outboard. The boat is in really nice shape and the motor runs nice. I realize this is the wrong time of the year to buy a boat but the price was certainly right. Anyone that wants to go fishing (or just boating) next summer is officially invited!

Now, what shall we name it? Put your suggestions in the comments!

  1. Shall we name it “Lucky” or the Minnow or even the Pequod (Moby Dick)?

  2. I would recommend you don’t call it Poseidon!

    • Better than Titanic?

  3. How about the Edwin Fitzgerald – Edmund’s luckier older brother?

  4. The awkward floater? Just joking. Emperor of the great blue sea. Catcher of caches. Blue Eyed Betsy. So many choices but I am sure you will think of something.

  5. Wow, I certainly started a theme here, hehehehe

    Thanks for the suggestions!

  6. Congrats on the boat! It’s so cool. Can we come up for a ride next summer? How about naming her something geographical like “Northern Lights,” or something clever like “Seas the Day”? Good luck!

    • wow, “Seas the Day” is very punny! Well done! And yes you are welcome to come any time. Does Strater like fishing?
